We are always in search for creative, detailed-oriented, go-getters  who are interested in the world of events. If you are a hard working, eager learner, dream chaser, whose ready to roll up your sleeves and experience the ins and outs of the wedding & event industry then look no further. Internships are unpaid opportunities for currently enrolled college students and can be either part-time or full-time. Our schedule is as follows: 

Winter Internship – January through May (Memorial Day) 
Summer Internship – June through September (Labor Day) 
Fall Internship – September through December

Our internship program provides a well rounded experience in the event industry, where you will learn all about event planning + design, marketing and daily small business operations.

The ideal candidate will be passionate + slightly crazy (much like us) about weddings and events, ready to hustle, and take on any task that is thrown at you. Office days can be tedious or slow, depending on the week and tasks vary from detailing timelines, developing design boards, sourcing vendor quotes or working on internal invoices and contracts. On an event day, it can be pure chaos and you should be ready to lift heavy items, stand on your feet for long hours and be prepared to work non-stop for 12+ hours to achieve a perfect event. The right candidate will be motivated to learn all sides of the business and enjoy that no day is the same in event planning. Below is further details on what you can expect to learn and be responsible for during the internship: 

  • Event Detailing: Develop and update timelines, budgets, etc. 
  • Vendor + Venue Research: Source pricing + options that best fit with our client's vision
  • Design Concept + Sourcing: Includes developing design boards, sourcing rentals & decor vendors to prepping favors, welcome bags, stationary and more.
  • Marketing: Help create content for our website, blog + social media outlets  
  • Admin Duties: Assist with daily business operations, such as preparing for client meetings, ordering office supplies, organizing receipts for bookkeeping, etc. 

Knowledge in Google Drive + Working Docs required. Experience with Squarespace, Adobe InDesign, Aisle Planner and Floorplan Development a plus, but not required.

 

COMMITTMENT 

As an event planning intern, you can expect to work at the very least, part-time for a minimum of 2-3 days per week with a total of 25 hours. We offer a true entrepreneur experience, with a mix of work from home and in-person work days. During slow season, we often schedule at least one in-person work day a week for a check in meeting; and during busy season (April-Oct), you can plan for at least 2 days of in-person work days, where you may be working on-site for a styled shoot, vendor meeting, network event or of course, all day at one of client's wedding or event. Work days vary based on event schedule and season, and at the start of your internship, we will determine a steady schedule based on each month that takes into account both your availability and our business needs. On weeks where a Friday evening, Saturday or Sunday is required, we will plan to take a day off the following Monday or Tuesday. 

You must be able to work at least 2-3 events during the course of the of the internship and we highly recommend working ALL the events to get the most out of your internship experience. 

We prefer to work with our interns for college credit, but also offer volunteer opportunities for on-site experience at weddings & events.
