Natalie + Chris's Boston Public Library Wedding Featured on Modern Luxury Boston

Honored to share that N+C’s remarkable wedding is featured over on Modern Luxury Boston!

Set at one of Boston’s most iconic landmarks, Natalie and Chris’s wedding day is best described as tradition with a twist. The bride, a Boston-based interior designer, infused every inch of the day with her fresh and creative vision for a bespoke celebration unlike any other.

With a love story that began over 10 years ago, the bride and groom knew they wanted to celebrate their nuptials with a wedding in the city they call home. The BostonPublic Library became the obvious venue choice, and they began planning with Urban Soirée to merge their unique design sensibilities with a traditionally formal venue.

As design plans began to unfold, stationery played an important role with letterpress save-the-dates designed by Fete Collection, featuring a custom sketch of the BostonPublic Library with their sweet pup, Violet on the steps. The invitation suite added even more personality with details like a tortoise animal print liner and custom lemon stamp, offering their guests a fun glimpse of everything to come.

On the wedding day, the bride and groom exchanged vows at St Cecilia's Parish Church in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood in a ceremony filled with love and laughter. Guests then transitioned to the Boston Public Library for a cocktail hour in the courtyard, with entertainment by electric violist and Youtube sensation, Jeremy Green, whose beautiful covers of current pop songs have gained him widespread recognition. His music could not have been a better addition to the event!

As guests entered the reception, one of the most striking decor experiences was the epic staircase moment. Ascending the stairs, guests felt as if they were floating through a rich, verdant garden, replete with topiaries, potted plants, trellis structures, tall manicured trees, and citrus-bearing trees. An assortment of planters in varying styles were strategically positioned to create a fabulous, lush, and bountiful display.

The library’s famous Bates Hall served as the perfect dinner location. Each guest table was designed with a collection of antique-style silver vessels coupled with aged earthenware containers, along with floral, greenery, citrus elements, and trailing jasmine vine to create height on each of the library’s classic light fixtures.

Channeling an atmosphere of Old Havana, a botanical installation anchored the entrance of the dance hall, accompanied by two fierce and adorable cheetahs sourced by the bride! From start to finish, this wedding transported guests to a magical escape, with each moment more stylish than the last.
