SANDY + STEPHEN’S BOHO-CHIC WAREHOUSE XI WEDDING

Simply put, Sandy and Stephen planned the kind of wedding that everyone wants to attend. I’m talking about an incredible setting with great food, lots of dancing, and meaningful details incorporated from start to finish. They celebrated their love with the party of a lifetime and helping plan and design their day was every bit as fun as you’d imagine.

The day began with a ceremony in the Boston Public Garden at the historic Japanese Lantern right by the edge of the lagoon. A dear friend officiated while Sandy and Stephen exchanged vows on top of a beautiful colored tapestry they’d picked up while traveling in Argentina. Even their sweet pup, Sebbie joined in on the ceremony fun!

Once the I-Do’s we’re said, guests headed over to their industrial-chic reception at Warehouse XI in Somerville. True to their vision, we made sure the vibe was anything but traditional with long wooden farm tables, twinkling cafe lights, and a decidedly cool lounge area for guests to mix and mingle throughout the night. To truly personalize the space, we added a heritage wall of family photos and gifted mini maple syrup favors from Stephen’s uncle’s syrup business.

Food and drink were certainly not an afterthought, and the pros at Sensational Paella served up a delicious spread of Spanish-inspired dishes alongside specialty craft cocktails from Wanderlush. Guests sipped on a mixture of whiskey, fresh lemon juice, demerara, and seasonal blackberry jam, known as “You’re been jammed!” and another fun cocktail made up of muddled cucumber and lavender syrup labeled “The Amalia B."

Stephen happens to work as a professional podcaster and the pair decided to record snippets of their wedding planning journey for their own special project. Their thoughtful documentation of key meetings and vendor interviews made the process of working together all the more special. Needless to say, I can’t wait to see what they create down the line!

Cheers to you on your first anniversary, S + S. May you have the happiest day celebrating and wishing you many more to come!

xo,

Renee
