Janelle + Max’s Elegant Birch Wood Vineyards Wedding
When people think of the perfect fall wedding, there are a few things that come straight to mind. Crisp air, gorgeous leaves, rustic details, and an autumn-inspired color palette. So when Janelle and Max first shared their vision for an October wedding which included all of the above, I immediately knew their big day would be a dream to plan.
Janelle and Max own a custom apparel company so, no surprise, their eye for design was on point from the get-go. They chose Birch Wood Vineyards as the backdrop for their celebration and incorporated the prettiest shade of deep burgundy alongside ivory and blush as a nod to the fall season. From the florals to the bridesmaid dresses to the satin chair covers by BBJ Linen, their color palette worked to complement the venue’s rustic design for a truly romantic feel.
The ceremony was held outdoors on the vineyard's patio in front of a beautiful pergola, complete with a string quartet which played “Home Is Wherever I’m With You” as Janelle walked down the aisle. Once the vows were exchanged, guests headed in for the reception and were greeted with the coziest candlelit scene. We tied in their rustic elegant aesthetic with custom calligraphy wood signage, lush florals, a cigar bar, and wine corks as escort card holders.
As a surprise for his bride, Max planned a big reveal of their honeymoon destinations (Australia and Bora Bora!) which were illustrated on the back side of their cake. As you can imagine, Janelle’s reaction was everything.
Looking back on the wedding images one year later, I’m reminded of all the love and warmth felt on that special October day. Happy anniversary to you, Janelle and Max, and may this next year bring even more love as you welcome your first sweet baby!
