Amethyst + Zev’s Romantic Mansion Wedding at Glen Manor House

Last week these two sweethearts and their dreamy Spring wedding was featured over on Bridal Musings

You’d never guess it, but once the venue was found this entire day was planned in six months flat. That’s right—Amethyst and Zev pulled off a dream-worthy wedding in an impressively short time period… and we even managed to have some serious fun along the way.

The big day fell over Memorial Day weekend, and I was honored to come alongside A+Z with full-service planning to make it all happen. Our plans started with the venue search throughout coastal New England, eventually leading us to the Glen Manor House in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. The manor is straight out of a storybook and I couldn’t imagine a better setting for their classically romantic style.

Amethyst wanted a monochromatic look, so we played up her love of pink with the prettiest blush and magenta florals alongside gold design accents for a feminine yet timeless feel. And while the wedding day began with a spot of rain, that didn’t stop Amethyst and Zev from a first look set outdoors. The big reveal began on the manor’s terrace before braving the rain for waterside portraits with their incredible photographer and one of our beloved preferred vendors, Lynne Reznick.

Their traditional Jewish ceremony featured a stunning floral-covered chuppah, while their hilarious handwritten vows made the occasion all the more personal. Once A+Z were officially announced husband and wife, everyone headed indoors for a ballroom reception complete with crystal chandeliers and colorful centerpieces gracing each table.

Amethyst happens to be an incredibly talented baker and made their glittering gold and pink wedding cake and cookie desserts, plus a cute groom’s cake to surprise Zev! But the surprises didn’t stop there because these two worked for months to perfect their choreographed first dance that was a total hit with the crowd.

A+Z—working together on your wedding was so special and in the words of your Beyonce grand exit song, may you stay forever “crazy in love.”

xo,

Renee
