Lindsey + Evan's Romantic Winter Wedding at Willowdale Estate

If there’s one thing we can learn from Lindsey and Evan’s big day, it’s that the romance of a winter wedding is truly hard to top. Between the glowing candlelight and the freshly fallen snow, the winter months can be an especially magical time to tie the knot with some careful planning and a clear vision to lead the way.

Luckily, Lindsey is a planner herself (and fun fact—a former intern turned close friend of mine!) who knew exactly which details she wanted to incorporate. Think a color palette of dusty blue, grey, and blush + ivory tones along with soft, romantic design elements that carried from the ceremony to reception. Willowdale Estate was a dream location for their vision thanks to its stately character and historic charm. Plus, the cozy fireplaces set throughout the mansion brought even more wintertime elegance to the scene.

While the idea of braving cold temperatures might scare some, Lindsey and Evan fully embraced the season and even took their formal portraits outside before the festivities officially began. Lindsey’s green Hunter boots looked adorable for their outdoor photo session as she jumped through the snow in her gorgeous wedding gown.

The ceremony was held in the mansion’s glass conservatory which provided stunning natural light streaming in from every angle. As guests transitioned from an intimate cocktail hour to the reception, they sat down at candlelit tables lined with sheer ivory runners, graceful ivory chair drapes and elegant florals by Karla Kassidy Designs. As a pop of pattern we added the prettiest floral damask napkins from BBJ Linen with a personalized marble place stones by Haley Tyson Designs to accent each place setting and bring a bit of modern flair.

But the best part of all? After a delicious meal, Lindsey and Evan spoiled their guests with a dessert selection that included a cookie hutch filled with freshly baked goodies plus a popcorn cart and three to-die-for flavors of mini baked donuts for serve yourself treats throughout the evening. My husband and I even got to enjoy the festivities as guests while my team took over during the reception.

Although their winter wedding was a beautiful celebration in every sense of the word, nothing could outshine L+E’s love on that special day. These two were such a joy to work with and to be friends with. I’m so excited for their recent move to Dallas and their next chapter as parents-to-be!!

Renee
