Victoria + Will’s Elegant-Industrial Warehouse XI Wedding
Call me a hopeless romantic, but Victoria and Will’s wedding day was one I’ll never forget. Over the course of our time working together, we laid the plans for their elegant-meets-industrial-chic celebration and had so much fun along the way. I even got to know their sweet pup, Scout, who often joined us for venue visits and planning meetings!
The big day began with a ceremony at Stone Place Park in Somerville featuring a breathtaking floral arch filled with lush, garden-style greenery. As they walked down the aisle, viola music by Jeremy Green filled the air and Victoria and Will exchanged their vows with an intimate ceremony officiated by a dear friend.
The festivities continued next door at Warehouse XI, which served as the perfect blank palette and industrial setting to create an intimate ambiance through the lighting and tablescapes. We worked closely with Jimmy of JNG Event Consulting on floral design, incorporating shades of blush, lavender, ivory, and greenery alongside rose gold accents for an incredibly romantic look.
Mixed foliage garlands lined each grey-washed farm table with distressed white Chiavari chairs pulling in an element of rustic elegance. One of very my favorite details from the day was a custom structure built by a local artist, Melanie Rose Peterson, that served as their guest book. The wooden structure hung on the wall, allowing guests to take a piece and sign or write a note. After the wedding, it was formed into an artwork for them to cherish forever.
During our first meetings it didn’t take long to learn that V+W have excellent taste in wine, so naturally, our tasting at the Urban Grape was a highlight of the planning process. Their perfectly curated bar menu included selections from Chile, France, Argentina, and a sparkling wine from England as a nod to Will’s home country. To complement their drink selections, Forklift Catering created a flavorful menu featuring dishes like risotto arancini with parmesan and roasted squash, roasted brussels sprouts with pine nuts and golden raisins, and steak "frites" on a homemade gaufrette with truffle aioli, just to name a few.
Gimme 5, a local band of Berklee students, kept everyone dancing throughout the evening and guests were treated to Union Square donut holes and grilled cheese bites as the ultimate late-night snack.
V+W, your wedding day was absolutely one for the books and I’m wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness as you celebrate your first anniversary!
xo, Renee
